Noted Twitter account @LUFCData pulled up some figures regarding Leeds winger Jack Harrison, which might paint a flattering picture on the surface, but when held up to a little bit more scrutiny doesn’t exactly cover him in glory.

Whilst it may look rather good to have that many touches in the opposition box, the fact is that he hasn’t exactly been able to produce that into much, only managing to produce one goal and two assists so far this season (via WhoScored).

It’s just another example of how statistics might look impressive, but if there isn’t an end product when all is said and done, then is it really worth getting excited about? If Leeds were clear at the top of the table right now, you wonder if the fact his numbers, or lack of, would make for as interesting a read.

Hopefully they don’t come back to haunt him later on during the campaign.
