Leeds United have got off to a flying start under Marcelo Bielsa’s reign, notching up a 3-1 win against Stoke City on the opening day, followed up by a 4-1 demolition of Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
The high-pressing attacking style that characterises Bielsa has clearly been adopted by the players as the club looks to return to the top-flight after a 14 year absence.
Despite bringing in five new faces to Elland Road this summer, including a big-money move for striker Patrick Bamford, the only signing to start both opening games has been Barry Douglas.
The former Wolves left-back, who signed for a reported £3million, has impressed in both matches and registered an assist in his club debut against Stoke.
The impressive defender posted a tweet after the win on Saturday in which he praised the fans and and his teammates.
